Elizabete Gomes, L.Ac., R.N., A.C.N.​​​​​​​​​​

Elizabete began her path in health care  in 1988 when she entered the University of Texas School of Nursing. She received her BSN in Nursing, worked for 10 years in intensive care, and was an instructor at the School of Nursing for 12 years, teaching clinical skills and safe medication delivery. In 1999, Elizabete chose to broaden her healthcare knowledge and began studying Oriental Medicine at the Academy of Oriental Medicine in Austin.  She received a Masters degree in Oriental Medicine, is licensed by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners, and is a nationally certified acupuncturist and herbalist by the NCCAOM.
 

In 2010, Elizabete continued her quest for improving her health care services by studying nutrition, diet therapies, and whole foods supplementation and became an Applied Clinical Nutritionist. A well rounded practitioner with extensive knowledge and experience in both Eastern and Western modalities, Elizabete draws from her work as an Intensive Care nurse, her nutrition training, as well as from her long-term yoga and meditation practices to offer comprehensive, high quality complementary treatments to a wide range of patients.
